Loving to read

As Isabella grows I think that each stage she is in is more fun than the last. She's learning a lot each day and making new connections and observations. Over the last week she's really developed a love for books and reading. We took a trip to the library today and when we got home spent about 45 minutes reading. Watching her reaction as we turn each page is so much fun. I hope this love for reading continues for years to come.

10 Months Old

Olivia is such a cutie! She's ten months old today and still content to sit and play. She's learned how to turn 360 deg on her bottom and is able to reach for what she needs. She's always smiling and loves to play with mom, even if I'm just sitting next to her. She's quickly learning how to defend herself from big sister who likes to come along and push her over. (notice the scratch marks on her face, yeah, thanks big sis) She still loves the water and by the end of bath time, there is usually more water on the floor than in the tub. She's the best! I love this little thing.

A run of bad luck

I'm sure many of my blog followers are keeping up with my other blog. As a result, you know that life has been a bit crazy around here. Well, let's not let the fun end there. On Saturday I awoke and felt like I'd been run over by a semi. The thought of getting out of bed was almost too much to handle. Oh wait, Jason was at school and wouldn't be home until after 5. I had no choice but to deal. Let's just say that everyone was still in their pj's at 5pm. I was sure I had the flu. After a positive flu diagnosis at the urgent care center along with a temp. of 101.7 I took the much needed life saving medication (Tamiflu) and went to bed. Today I feel like a new person. I'm still holding out that this week will be better than last.

Please Touch

Last Saturday was the perfect day to pay a visit to the Please Touch Museum. This is definitely the coolest children's museum I've ever been to. Just this summer they moved into this beautiful historic building in Philadelphia and the place is simply a wonderland. We could have spent hours and hours there, but the UT/OU game was calling. We now have a family membership so the girls and I can enjoy it all winter long.

High Maintenance

I'm not one to splurge on high end products. I'm too practical to spend way too much on any one item, but lately, I've splurged on a pair of jeans recently and now thanks to my sister, I'm thinking about spending major bucks on shampoo. (she gave me a gift bag and it had a few free samples of shampoo) Sounds ridiculous, but after two days of using this shampoo I am a believer. Even though my hair hasn't been cut for 6 months, it looks like I just stepped out of a salon (well, almost).

In need of a bathroom remodel

To make a long story short, our dining room ceiling almost gave way to a flash flood from a mysterious leak in our master bath. Yeah, pretty startling to look at the ceiling and see that it's completely saturated. Awesome. As you can see, there is now a massive hole in our dining room ceiling. Looks like we can add master bath remodel to our list of things to do.

One Piece Pajamas

I love one piece pj's and tonight was the first night of the Fall that the girls put on their new pj's. Isabella loves getting new clothes and was so excited to put them on. Also, I can sleep better knowing that the girls will be warm and cozy even after they've kicked off the blankets.
