Merry Christmas
The last thing I expected was to be in the hospital on Christmas day welcoming our new little addition, Olivia Noelle. The story goes like this.....
I went in for an ultrasound on Dec. 24th just expecting them to say that everything looks fine and enjoy the holiday. Well, not quite. The doctor came in and said, "What if I told you I'd like you to go to the hospital now to have this baby?" "Uh...what, but I want to catch the after Christmas sales." Yeah, that excuse didn't fly. Apparently, the level of amniotic fluid was a bit low, so they did not want to take any chances and said that it is safer if the baby is induced now, rather than waiting. So...off we went.
I received a dose of cervadil at 6pm on the 24th and they started the pitocin at 7am the next day and she was born at 3:30 pm. I truly had an incredible and enjoyable birthing experience. I owe that to the epidural, the nurse midwives and Jason and my sister. I am now a firm believer in midwives. They were exceptional and helped make this experience incredibly memorable and enjoyable.

Feeling good right before starting the pushing marathon.

baby update
This is Jason giving an update. Sophia was admitted on December 24th. They wanted to induce a bit early due to the small size of the baby. It looks like we will have a Christmas baby.

6 days left....
Hard to believe....but this baby is due in 6 days. This has truly been the easiest pregnancy and the time has just flown by. What I am most excited about it staying home with my girls for about 4 months! Walking out of the hospital on Thursday and knowing that I'm not returning for quite some time was such a great feeling.
Jason and I have been working hard to get a lot of projects finished. On today's agenda is to finish painting the nursery, paint the changing table that I sanded and primed, attempt to make chocolate truffles for our friends and neighbors, and do some last minute shopping.
I'll post a prego pic as soon as I'm dressed in something other than yoga pants and a fleece sweater. Hmmm....when will that be?
The pic above is Isabella last year at this time.

Storage
My to-do list is about a mile long these days. At the top is getting our food storage in order and surprisingly it's been a lot easier than I expected. I might go as far to say that I'm actually enjoying it. After searching for the perfect food storage container, I stumbled upon the OXO line of containers and absolutely love them. They are perfect for storing anything and easy to use, not to mention the design is very cool, well, as far as storage goes.
