Texas Flavor

I'm on a mission to plan out our weekly meals and buy the things that are strictly on my list. So, I'm experimenting with different recipes and stumbled upon this awesome blog. I made her king ranch chicken casserole and it was delish! I'm excited to infuse some good ol' fashioned Texan flavor into our New Jersey meals.

1st Birtday Fiesta

I need to post this before Isabella is 18 and graduating high school. A few weeks ago we celebrated Isabella's first birthday. With the help of my mom, sister, and Jason we were able to pull off the big day with success. The fiesta themed party included a pinata, pin the tail on the donkey, and the most delicious fajitas ever (thanks mom). Isabella had a fabulous time. She loved the attention and enjoyed her first lollipop with her girlfriends. The timing could not have been more perfect because as soon as everyone left, it began pouring rain.
It's hard to believe a year has already gone by. Makes me realize the importance of savoring each day. Isabella is teaching me how to do that.

We're having a .....

GIRL!!!!!!

Yes, for those of you who didn't know....we are pregnant! Our ultrasound was this week and it looks like Isabella will welcome a new little sister in December. They will be 18 mos. apart. I'm so excited she will have a little sister. I can only hope they will be as close and my sister and I are.
Jason is excited, but also frightened. He's already planning to hire an electrician to rewire the entire house so that it can support all of the girly hair tools these teenagers will require.

I can't wait to have two little girls running around the house! So much fun!
