I finally made it to the new Crate & Barrel near our house today ready and excited to purchase the coolest item (the snowflake pancake mold on the griddle) and to my disappointment, they were sold out. Well, I was not yet discourged because I would just go home and call other local stores and have these cute snowflakes shipped to my house. I ended up calling about four different stores on a desparate hunt and several times was told that they are completely out nationwide and that people are calling everyday looking for this hot pancake mold.
I was really looking forward to making these delicious snowflake pancakes on Christmas morning for the whole family to enjoy, but it looks like all of the other eager and early holiday shoppers had the same idea and beat me to it. Lesson learned. We'll just have to enjoy pancakes the old fashioned way, round and kind of boring but still delicious.

have you tried peir 1 or a store like that? darn that they are out!! Those would be cute
I just went through the same thing! I wanted that mold too and even called the customer service number and had them look it up nationwide...apparently a store in New York showed up as having a trace amount of th emolds...but when I called the store...they were out! So not cool!
On January 22, I purchased two of these C&B snowflake molds for half price, at the Grove in Los Angeles. There was a full barrel of them--the cashier said they had a lot of Christmas leftovers. Call 'em up and see if you can get a couple for next Christmas.
